Podo Step By Step

Certifications & specialised techniques

Certified techniques for nail correction and reconstruction.

Continuous training and specialisation in modern podiatry techniques allow us to choose the right solution for each individual case. I hold certifications for the use of professional systems and techniques for the reconstruction, correction and guidance of the nail, including internationally patented methods.

Patented technique

SEGMENT L®

patented technique for nail reconstruction and guidance

International certification in the Segment L® technique

Segment L® is a patented technique used in podiatry for the controlled reconstruction of the nail and for guiding it through its growth process.

By creating an individually adapted acrylic segment, the technique makes it possible to rebuild missing or damaged areas and to create a structure that helps the nail grow in the correct direction.

It is a particularly useful method in cases of traumatised or deformed nails, partial loss of the nail plate, or where controlled reconstruction of the nail edges is required.

Objective: reconstruction, protection and guidance of nail growth.

Patented system

INFINITY TITANIUM®

patented correction system using titanium wire

International certification in the Infinity Titanium® system

Infinity Titanium® is a patented orthonyxia system that uses the elastic properties of a titanium alloy wire to exert a controlled force on the nail plate.

The system is applied and adapted individually according to the shape, thickness and degree of deformation of the nail, in order to progressively lift its edges and change its direction of growth.

It is used in particular in the management of ingrown, involuted or deformed nails.

Objective: reducing the pressure exerted on the tissues and progressively correcting the shape of the nail.

Arkada

M-BRACE®

professional nail correction system

Certification in the M-Brace® technique — Arkada

M-Brace® is a professional orthonyxia system used for the progressive correction of ingrown, involuted or deformed nails.

The system works by applying a controlled force to the nail plate, helping to lift the edges of the nail and to reduce the pressure exerted on the lateral nail folds.

Application is personalised according to the shape, thickness and degree of curvature of the nail, and the tension can be adjusted so that the correction process is progressive and controlled.

M-Brace® can be used both to ease the discomfort caused by lateral pressure and to guide the nail towards a more correct shape and direction of growth.

Objective: reducing pressure on the tissues, progressively correcting the curvature and guiding nail growth.

Certified method

ARKADA®

nail correction and reconstruction method

Certification in the Arkada® method

The Arkada® method is a specialised technique for the correction of deformed or ingrown nails, combining mechanical repositioning of the nail plate with its reconstruction.

The technique allows controlled work on the edges of the nail and the reshaping of its form, without the classic approach based solely on repeatedly removing the corners.

It is an individually adapted method, based on the anatomy of the nail and the particularities of each case.

Objective: correcting the shape of the nail, reducing lateral pressure and achieving growth that is as functional as possible.

Certified technique

LIFT UP

gel correction technique

Certification in the Lift Up technique

Lift Up is an orthonyxia technique carried out using a light-cured material applied in a controlled way to the nail plate.

Through the positioning and tensioning of the material, a progressive lifting force is generated on the edges of the nail, helping to reduce the pressure exerted on the lateral nail folds.

It is a discreet, adaptable solution and can be used in certain cases of involuted nails or nails with a tendency to become ingrown.

Objective: controlled lifting of the nail edges and reduction of pressure on the periungual tissues.

We choose the technique according to the case

There is no single method suitable for all types of nails.

Following the assessment we determine the technique, or combination of techniques, appropriate to the shape of the nail, the degree of deformation, the condition of the tissues, the history of trauma and the way the nail grows.

The aim is not only to resolve the immediate discomfort but, where the situation allows, to guide the nail towards growth that is as correct and functional as possible in the long term.

Biomechanics

Biomechanical assessment & custom insoles

Biomechanical assessment of the foot

Functional and biomechanical assessment of the foot and of gait

The biomechanical assessment helps us understand how the foot functions at rest and in motion, not only how it looks.

We analyse posture, the alignment of the lower limbs, joint mobility, the distribution of plantar pressure and the way the foot behaves during walking.

The assessment can identify imbalances that contribute to pain, overload, recurrent calluses or changes in the foot, and can show how these influence the ankle, the knee and the entire biomechanical chain.

Depending on the results of the assessment, we determine whether an intervention is necessary and what type of solution is appropriate for each patient.

Objective: identifying the functional cause and finding a personalised solution, not merely treating its effects.

Custom insoles — SIDAS technology

Certification in the production of custom insoles using SIDAS technology

Custom insoles are made individually, starting from the biomechanical assessment and the particularities of each foot.

SIDAS technology allows the insoles to be thermoformed to the imprint of the foot, so that the support obtained is adapted to the patient's anatomy, biomechanics and specific needs.

Depending on the result of the assessment, the insole can be configured and adjusted to support particular areas, redistribute plantar pressure, optimise support and improve the function of the foot during walking or sporting activity.

Insoles can be adapted both for everyday activities and for different types of footwear and sports.

From assessment to a personalised solution

For us, an insole is not a standard product chosen according to shoe size.

The process begins with an assessment of the foot and of the entire biomechanical chain, continues with the individual manufacture of the insoles and, where necessary, with their subsequent checking and adjustment.

Every foot is different. That is why the solution must be different too.
